Our first time camping with the kids, in fact Scott and I haven't been camping since I was pregnant with Emma (which was pretty lame as I had all day sickness and couldn't really eat like one should while on a camping trip). Anyway, we decided to go to "camping" to a KOA so the kids could experience sleeping in a tent and cooking food on the fire but we had other activities that kept them busy and us sane. They played mini-golf, swam in the pool a lot, played on the playground, and played in the big field in front of the tent. Overall, pretty successful for the first time.Camping cuisine...hot dogs and macaroni. They did well eating outside and didn't really freak out about bugs or anything.Playing at the playground.
Behind our tent was a farm that had beautiful horses. This mare had a colt which looked to have been born recently. They were very fun to watch, but apparently horses are like roosters and make lots of noise when the sun comes up. They don't really have "bedtime" I guess. Needless to say, we were up pretty early each day!
